DC Water is extending the effective date of System Availability Fees

DC Water is extending the effective

date of System Availability Fees from

January 1, 2018 to June 1, 2018

All other elements of the new fee remain the same.

DC WATER is officially implementing a major fee increase for water and sewer usage to be assessed to new developments and redevelopment projects in the District with site plans submitted after June 1, 2018.

The new fees are based on domestic water meter size and range from $19,082 for most townhouse/row houses to $796,654 for large residential and commercial buildings.

In order to avoid the new fee increase, site plans will need to be accepted for review by DC WATER staff prior to June 1, 2018, and receive the DC Water Certificate of Approval before January 1, 2019.
