Effective January 1, 2018 – DC Water is officially implementing the System Availability Fee Increase
Effective January 1, 2018 – DC WATER is officially implementing a major fee increase for water and sewer usage to be assessed to new developments and redevelopment projects in the District with site plans submitted after January 1, 2018.
The new fees are based on domestic water meter size and range from $19,082 for most townhouse/row houses to $796,654 for large residential and commercial buildings.
In order to avoid the new fee increase, site plans will need to be accepted for review by DC WATER staff prior to January 1, 2018, and receive the DC Water Certificate of Approval before January 1, 2019.
